Our History
St Margaret's Community Church began in March '03 as a "church plant" from St Margaret's Parish Church with which we continue to enjoy a close partnership. The Parish Church was attracting large numbers of people on a Sunday and for some time people had been thinking and praying about the possibility of a church plant. So in March 2003, a group of about 40 adults and children started to meet in the school for a church service.
Throughout its history, SMCC has grown steadily and the church family is presently about 100 people.
In September 2008, we introduced tables into our services and made them cafe style as a way of making our services friendly and welcoming, especially to those who might not feel comfortable in a formal church setting.
In 2010 God laid a vision of revival for the church and the community on our hearts. We are excited to see this starting to take shape as the church goes through a stage of change and growth.
We look forward with great anticipation to how the history of SMCC will unfold in the coming months and years
